Photography Workshop Overview: When presenting 'Visual
Journeys' or teaching photography at Camera Clubs and photo-conventions around
the country, I am often asked to share my techniques with
specific groups. This workshop is my response for the creation of
quality digital presentations. Set in the Central
Idaho Mountains with time set aside for winter photography
including an Elk herd and snow-laden landscapes.

Day 1 | To McCall Our small group will gather late morning, and we'll kick things off with the included lunch. Photography
kicks off with images of Boise skyline et cetera, then off into the
Payette River canyon for a number of winter river shots
on route to McCall. Supper in McCall, and a workshop orientation.

Day 2 | Digital Presentation Workshop
Morning: Choice of software for digital
presentations
Morning: Digital presentation examples
Afternoon: Establishing your goals, concepts and themes
during the workshop
Afternoon: Choosing suitable images
Evening: Group sharing, and critiques of images or
presentations brought to the workshop
Day 3 | Digital Presentation Workshop
Morning: Winter photography
Afternoon: Mastering the software
Evening: Free
Day 4 | Digital Presentation Workshop
Morning: Choice of soundtrack
Afternoon: Mixing images and soundtracks
Afternoon: Winter photography
Evening: Review of client presentations
The included dinner on the last night of our photography
tour will feature an
'It's You!' presentation of clients in action on this tour by John.
Day 5 | Departure day
Winter photography early if you're still up to it, then
images in the Payette River canyon as we make our way to Boise via Cascade Lake for
afternoon flights home. Flights after 1 pm are
recommended.
Notes
The itinerary can be adjusted to suit the aims and tastes
of the participants, and the size of the group
