Photography Tour Overview:
Olympic National Park, Seattle, and Mount Rainier National Park are the main staple of this photography tour, along with a pair of wildlife sanctuaries. As with all of our photography tours, early and late shooting is scheduled for each day.

April weather and National Park access: The roads we wish to use in both national parks are kept open by the national park service, but late snowfall could possibly impede our access at some point. In any event our minibus will be equipped with chains should they be necessary.

Our itinerary . . .
But first things first! We suggest that you set your camera's clock to the local time, as your images will then synchronize with the times in our included photo tour field notes.

Days 1 + 2  |  Olympic National Park
Our photography tour of Washington State's best national parks gets under way at our Seattle-Tacoma airport hotel just after breakfast, and we'll then head for our accommodations near the Straits of Juan de Fuca for a two night stay. We'll detour to photograph the first of two wildlife sanctuaries where north American wildlife is accessible, especially the Grizzly bear. On day 2 we'll shoot Sol duc Falls and old growth/rain forest where tripods are a must! The Olympic peaks will glisten if the weather and light cooperate during our stay.
Port Angeles, 2 nights

Days 3 + 4  |  Mount Rainier National Park
After capturing some early light we'll take breakfast and head west in the direction of Mount Rainier. As we approach Mount Rainier we'll take time to shoot at our second wildlife sanctuary and shoot birds of prey, badger, beaver, bears, lynx, and wolf, et cetera. Mount Rainier will loom, and we'll frame it with various creative juices on the way to our home on the side of Washington's highest peak at 14,410'. At dawn on day 4 we'll be out shooting the surrounding mountain ridges, and there will be much more as we explore the mountain during the remainder of the day including Reflection Lake, Narada Falls et cetera. Fox and Deer usually appear as the end of daylight approaches.
Mount Rainier, 2 nights

Day 5  |  Seattle
Early light shooting as usual, then off to our accommodations under the shadow of the Space Needle in Seattle. After a short break we'll shoot around the Space Needle, and also head for a pair of classic city skyline images. The included dinner on the last night of our photography tour will feature an 'It's You!' presentation of clients in action on this tour by John.
Seattle, 1 night

Day 6  |  Departure day
As there isn't any photography scheduled for the day of departure on this trip, your flight home can be arranged for any time today. Transport to the airport is included unless you’re staying on for a day or more.
