Photography Tour Overview: Glacier is the so-called 'Jewel in the Crown', and for a
relatively small national park it contains a comparatively large amount of photographic subjects. Among those
jewels are waterfalls, mountain ranges, wildflowers, and wildlife including Mountain Goats,
Bears, Mule Deer, Bighorn Sheep and Ground Squirrels. Early and late light
at the water's edge is included each day. As with all of our photography tours, early and late shooting is scheduled for each day.

Our
itinerary . . .
But first things first! We suggest that you set your camera's clock to the local time, as your images will then synchronize with the times in our included photo tour
field notes.
Days 1, 2 + 3 | Glacier
National Park We'll gather at midday, take lunch, and John will present a series of images to get you oriented for the trip. Then following an orientation lunch we'll head north to Glacier National Park. We'll shoot alongside Lake McDonald and McDonald Creek, then taking the Going-To-The-Sun road we'll pause for various vistas that will include Mt. Oberlin, The Hanging Garden falls and Mt. Reynolds. On over Logan Pass to the lowlands, to capture the late glow on the peaks that tower over St. Mary Lake.
On days 2 and 3 we'll depart before dawn for the first light on St. Mary Lake and the grand parade of peaks that surround the lake. Another sunrise will be captured at Swiftcurrent lake, and included among the many photo ops during our stay will be Bighorn Sheep, Mountain Goats, Mule Deer, Bears, Ground Squirrels, wildflowers, Bear Grass, Lake Sherburne, easy to moderate trails such as Hidden Lake and the Garden Wall, plus waterfalls such as Virginia, St. Mary and Baring.
Glacier NP, 3 nights
Day 4 | Glacier
National Park, and on to Kalispell
A last sunrise excursion this morning, then following breakfast we'll have another full day in Glacier before heading for Kalispell. In a nutshell, more of the above throughout the day with the last light shot at Lake McDonald.
The included dinner on the last night of our photography tour will feature an 'It's You!' presentation of clients in action on this tour by John.
Kalispell, 1 night
Day 5 | Departure day
As there isn't any photography scheduled for the day of departure on this trip, your flight home can be arranged for any time today. Transport to the airport is included unless you’re staying on for a day or more.
