Photography Tour Overview:
While winter lingers in north America and elsewhere in the northern hemisphere, the warm February breezes
in the Bahamas are especially appealing. We go straight to Eleuthera and explore the island from top to bottom
for three days yielding a variety of pleasing and colorful images. See our
Eleuthera Island photo gallery
here for examples. The eastern shores of Eleuthera face the Atlantic Ocean,
while the western shores face the extremities of the Caribbean Sea, and during
our photo tour we'll be able to show you where the two meet. All that and the
limestone formations of the Great Bahama Bank, plus Spanish Wells, Harbour
Island, and Paradise Island. As with all of our photography tours, early and late shooting is scheduled for each day.

Our
itinerary . . .
But first things first! We suggest that you set your camera's clock to the local time, as your images will then synchronize with the times in our included photo tour
field notes.
Days 1, 2, 3
+ 4 | Eleuthera Island
We recommend that you arrive in Nassau prior to day 1, unless you live on the
east coast of the United States. We'll start off at 12 noon with the included lunch
followed by our flight to Eleuthera Island. As we head to our four-night accommodations we'll make
a variety of photography
stops. Shoreline photography late in the day as the sun sets over the Caribbean tonight . .
. and every night!
On days 2, 3 and 4, we'll make multiple excursions up and down Eleuthera
Island, plus make a day trip to both Spanish Wells, and Harbour Islands. Eleuthera Island is colorful in
more ways than one, and you'll love pointing your camera at the bright colors
and the bright friendly faces of the islanders. Not forgetting the flora and
fauna there is much to photograph at a nature reserve in the form of flowers, shrubs, birds,
turtles, snails, lizards, and
insects including butterflies. While most of the northern hemisphere shivers in February, join our
small group to feel the sand between your toes while shooting a potpourri of
photographic subjects . . . sunrises and sunsets included.
Eleuthera Island, 4 nights
Days 5 +
6 | Paradise Island
We'll shoot early as always, and around midday take the short flight back to
Nassau and transfer to Paradise Island for our two night stay. Although ripe with
resorts, the island has a variety of photographic opportunities both natural - i.e.
beaches, birds, a lighthouse and so on - plus the 'artificial' in the form of a
fabulous aquarium. You'll be able to take your time there for some great photo opportunities. The included dinner on the last night of our photography tour will feature an 'It's You!' presentation of clients in action on this tour by John.
Paradise Island, 2 nights
Day 7 | Departure day
As there isn't any photography scheduled for the day of departure on this trip, your flight home can be arranged for any time today. Transport to the airport is included unless you’re staying on for a day or more.
