Photography Tour Overview: Covering parts of Colorado, Utah and Arizona, we'll photograph some of the best locations each has to offer. Aspen's Maroon Bells kicks things off, then to Utah for Arches and Canyonlands national parks, plus Monument Valley Tribal Park which is shared with Arizona. The latter state also provides us with Antelope Canyon and the classic Horseshoe Bend image on the Colorado River. We finish back in Utah in the Bryce Canyon amphitheater . . . with as usual, much more besides.

Our itinerary . . .
But first things first! We suggest that you set your camera's clock to the local time, as your images will then synchronize with the times in our included photo tour field notes.

Day 1  |  Salt Lake to Aspen: Maroon Bells and a ghost town
We'll meet at 9am in the lobby of our gateway hotel, and take the road trip to Aspen with detours for images along the way. Maroon Bells and a ghost town are our options this evening.
Aspen, 1 night

Days 2, 3 and 4  |  Aspen to Moab: Marble and Castle Valley
Dawn at Maroon Bells, breakfast, and a scenic drive via Marble and Castle Valley plus other stops on our way to Moab in Utah. For two days we’ll photo-explore the highlights of Arches National Park, and a Canyonlands National Park dawn at Mesa Arch.
Moab, 3 nights

Days 5 + 6  |  Moab to Monument Valley
South via Wilson Arch, Goosenecks State Park, Mexican Hat, and on the to the classic highway and Monument Valley scene known as Milepost 13. [Forrest Gump etc.] Sunset on the Monument Valley rim as the light fades.
Day 6: Dawn photography overlooking the Mittens. Following breakfast I'll guide our own tour around the valley, then in the afternoon we'll be joined by a Navajo guide for access to additional photography locations.
Monument Valley Tribal Park, 2 nights

Day 7  |  Monument Valley to Page: Antelope Canyon
Another Monument Valley sunrise, and stops along the way for various rock formations as we head for Page. An afternoon trip into Lower Antelope Canyon is scheduled. Late light overlooking Lake Powell.
Page, 1 night

Days 8 + 9  |  Page to Bryce Canyon
We start day 8 with the classic Horseshoe Bend image on the Colorado River, then via stops at Lake Powell and Red Canyon and on to Bryce. We'll make several visits to Bryce Canyon viewpoints during our stay, plus mule deer are often sighted.
Bryce, 2 nights

Day 10  |  Bryce to Salt Lake
More Bryce Canyon this morning and a mid to late morning departure for Salt Lake. We're photograph rural Utah before joining the freeway and continuing north. Around mid afternoon we'll shoot around Utah's capitol building, and then head for our hotel. The included dinner on the last night of our photography tour will feature an 'It's You!' presentation of clients in action by John.
Near the Salt Lake airport, 1 night

Day 11  |  Departure day
As there isn't any photography scheduled for the day of departure, your flight home can be arranged for any time today.
