OUTLINE: The people are gone, there is abundant and accessible wildlife, and all is peaceful in Yellowstone National Park as another winter takes it's course. This is a crisp, pristine and quiet time of year in the park. Ideal conditions in which to point your camera at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Mammoth Hot Springs, and the Lamar Valley, plus  wildlife including Elk, Bison, Big Horn Sheep, Pronghorn Antelope and Coyote. All this and the majestic Teton peaks plus PhotoShop sessions. Macro, landscape and wildlife.

OVERSEAS TRAVEL
<> It is recommended, but not imperative, that you arrive a day early to be fresh and on time for the trip!
<> Early arrival also enables you to explore the gateway city should you wish.
<> A late flight arrival on day 1 of the trip might entail you having to find your own way to the first hotel, if not close to the airport.
<> Please note that the ending date of the trip is the day of your departure flight. Please arrange your flights accordingly.

Clients from Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Australasia should depart their home country a day or two prior to Day 1, so that the commencement of this photography tour isn't missed.

DAYS 1, 2, 3 + 4  |  To YELLOWSTONE N. P., WYOMING
I'll meet your midday flight into Bozeman, Montana,
and on route to Gardiner we'll pause to photograph the occasional Montana winter scene. After hotel check-in, light permitting, we'll explore the spots outside the Yellowstone National Park that wildlife frequents.
During the next three days we'll explore the immediate Mammoth Hot Springs area, and have the use of our own van in which we can explore at a leisurely pace the Mammoth to Cooke City road . . . the only road open in the park and along which we'll be on the lookout for Elk, Bison, Antelope, Bighorn Sheep, Coyote and Deer etcetera. On a day trip aboard a custom snow-coach, we'll visit the magnificent Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and photograph many other park gems, while shooting wildlife, natural history and snow-scapes as we go. Occasional evenings and free time will include informal slide and print critiques.

GARDINER, 4 nights

DAY 5  |  To WEST YELLOWSTONE
Following breakfasts we'll get on the road to Jackson - shooting as we go as always - via Bozeman and Big Sky. On approach to West Yellowstone we'll detour to Quake Lake and the Henry's Lake mountains of Idaho, and the latter will be the backdrop for some rustic cabin shots etcetera.
WEST YELLOWSTONE, 1 night

DAY 6  |  To JACKSON, WYOMING
More Henry's Lake photography then south via Ashton, and more stops and minor detours in Tetonia county for late light photography on the Idaho side of the Teton range. You'll find that the Teton peaks are almost as spectacular from the west side then on into Jackson, Wyoming for our 3 night stay in this old cowboy town.
JACKSON,  3 nights

DAYS 7 and 8  |  GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, WYOMING
Winter sunrises on the Teton peaks are among America's best, and during our two days of photographing the park, we'll capture many a scene that would fit cozily into a breath mint commercial. The park also has it's fair share of wildlife, and included in the trip cost is a sleigh ride to photograph Elk . . . part of the feeding and protection program there. Deeper into the park we'll photograph Moose, stands of Aspen trees and many a scene with a Teton backdrop.

DAY 9  |  Flights home
Another great sunrise if weather permits, and back to Jackson for hot breakfasts. Late morning departures from Jackson airport are recommended.
