Go to
Orbitz for the average roundtrip air-fare from your city

OUTLINE: The fabled ‘Emerald Isle’ with its unique culture, friendly people, and ‘quaint to the magnificent’ landscape is a special place to photograph. In many un-spoilt remote parts it’s a nation that still clings to the past, and that spells ‘photography!’ Ireland, as you'll discover for yourself, is unique because of these things it’s much more besides. We’ll cover all Ireland, north and south, in our own unique Travel Images way. Point your lens at the Mountains of Mourne, Antrim coast, Giants Causeway, the Donegal peninsula, Connemara, Galway harbor, Cliffs of Moher, the Dingle peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, Rock of Cashel, castles and much more.

OVERSEAS TRAVEL
<> It is recommended, but not imperative, that you arrive a day early to be fresh and on time for the trip!
<> Early arrival also enables you to explore the gateway city should you wish.
<> A late flight arrival on day 1 of the trip might entail you having to find your own way to the first hotel, if not close to the airport.
<> Please note that the ending date of the trip is the day of your departure flight. Please arrange your flights accordingly.

Clients from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australasia should depart their home country a day or two prior to Day 1 for on-time arrival in Dublin, Ireland.

DAY 1  |  Arrive IRELAND
Arrive Dublin by 11 a.m. to be met by John followed by check into our comfortable accommodations. After a short break we'll take lunch together and head out for our first photography at Howth harbor, and the Baily Lighthouse on the edge of Dublin Bay. Dinner and the late light photography around boat-dotted Skerries harbor.
Near DUBLIN, 1 night

DAYS 2 and 3  |  COUNTY DUBLIN to COUNTY DOWN
Sunrise on Malahide harbor this morning, then following breakfast we'll then turn north and head for the Mountains of Mourne in County Down. We'll go via Balbriggan harbor for boat and lighthouse studies, and as with all our trips we'll pause to photograph the Irish landscape, and any serendipitous stuff that 'happens' whenever we take the road less traveled. An afternoon fast track will place us in the Mountains of Mourne by late afternoon, and we’ll continue shooting as we head for our 2 night base near Newcastle.
On Day 3, we'll slowly explore the back lanes that skirt the Mournes to find stone wall, white-washed cottages, yellow Gorse, sheep and mountains combining for many interesting studies.
Near NEWCASTLE,  2 nights

DAY 4  |  NEWCASTLE to BUSHMILLS
Our last look at the Mountains of Mourne this morning as we go straight north via Banbridge, Antrim, and Ballymena to Cushenden where we’ll join the Antrim coast. Nearby Torr Head is worth another slow ride for a variety of coastal images. On to Dunluce Castle for the late light on this foreboding, magnificently situated structure.
Near BUSHMILLS, 1 night

DAYS 5 and 6  |  BUSHMILLS to COUNTY DONEGAL
The pursuit of early light on day 5 will see us at the Giants Causeway which is the location of the unique hexagonal rock formations you've longed to photograph! Then away to our new destination near Donegal with a smattering of stops en-route.
Day 6 will see us exploring farm scenes, bird life and on Muckross Head. Kilcar is a village noted for it's tweed production and will be our lunch stop. On to the cliffs of Carrigan Head followed by peat scenes, and the photogenic Celtic remnants of Glencolumbkille to round off the day’s excursion. As with every day, we'll photograph much more besides.
DONEGAL,  2 nights

DAYS 7 and 8  |  CONNEMARA
South on Day 7 to Drumkille in County Sligo, W. B. Yeats country, where we’ll explore some of the terrain that inspired the noted poet, including the Glencar Falls. Then via Westport and the Eriff River Valley which lies in the rugged grandeur of Connemara. For those still up to it, we’ll take a spectacular drive on Sky Road after supper to close the day.
On Day 8 we'll get intimate with Aasleagh Falls, Leenane, and the Connemara mountains including the Twelve Bens and Lough Inagh. Tudor-Gothic Kylemore Abbey will also attract our emulsions today.
CLIFDEN,  2 nights

DAY 9  |  GALWAY and the CLIFFS of MOHER
Early light on Clifden this morning, then Irish bogs and rocks line our drive to remote Roundstone. Then on to Galway via the ‘Quiet Man’ cottage. Galway City and the harbor with its flock of Mute Swans are options, then on into County Clare to take in Dunguaire Castle and explore the volcanic 'Burren', including the Poulnabrone Dolmen. Our day will be topped of with the grand Cliffs of Moher in the evening light.
LISDOONVARNA, 1 night

DAYS 10, 11 and 12  |  COUNTY KERRY
We’ll take in Doolin before heading off southwards via thatched Adare into County Kerry today, probably the most ‘Irish’ of Ireland's counties, and where the ‘rush hour’ is something of another time and place. While spending 3 nights in Killarney, one day will be given to exploring the photogenic Dingle Peninsula where the movie ‘Ryan's Daughter’ was filmed. Another day will be given to the infamous ‘Ring of Kerry’ will and include images of Ireland’s highest peaks, plus the remote Hogs Head peninsula and more. The Killarney skyline with the MacGillycuddy’s Reeks mountain range, plus the gardens at nearby Muckross House will also be featured during our stay.
KILLARNEY,  3 nights

DAY 13  |  CASHEL and DUBLIN
After 'mopping up' in the Killarney region we'll turn eastwards stopping for green, rolling landscapes etcetera.  The highlight of the day will be in County Tipperary at Cashel. The Rock of Cashel is both historic [10th century] and photogenic, and an hour or two at this spectacular site will be most worthwhile. On to Dublin with a stop for our
last relaxing dinner together, and some packing before retiring for the night.
Near DUBLIN, 1 night

DAY 14  |  Flights home
Breakfast together for the last time on this trip, and rides to Dublin Airport for morning flights and arrival home on the same calendar day.
